In that case we can keep a list of voluntary blood donors as you mentioned - it will be of use to needy.I had even made a mentioned of it in Abhilash- Address blog.

lot of blood donation camp happened in Port Blair,(don't want to comment Publicly.....) Instead of blood donation, i personally feel a Blood donation registration camp should be done, where in all voluntary blood donors can just register their name,contact no & address (without giving blood at this venue)
