Sir,

All what you have mentioned is one time investment and do you think our admin will encourage this.....then the tender activity will die a natural death.................there are plenty of ways other ways to tap the renewal energy.
The Plant called "Jatropa carcus" locally known as jamal gotta is perfect thing for bio diesel and the same grows in plenty and can be grown as an intercrop does not require fencing and no pesticide ...... when will the admin encourage all this...

given below is tata new car which runs on air.

Subject: Tata's new Air Car -Mar-2010

Tata Motors to introduce Air Car - Is it the next big thing?

Tata Motors is taking giant strides and making history for itself. First the Landrover-Jaguar deal, then the world's cheapest car and now it is also set to introduce the car that runs on air, compressed air.

With spiralling fuel prices it is about time we heard some breakthrough!

India's largest automaker Tata Motors is set to start producing the world's first commercial air-powered vehicle.

The Air Car, developed by ex-Formula One engineer Guy Nègre for Luxembourg-based MDI, uses compressed air, as opposed to the gas-and-oxygen explosions of internal-combustion models, to push its engine's pistons. Some 6000 zero-emissions Air Cars are scheduled to hit Indian streets by August 2010.

The Air Car, called the MiniCAT could cost around Rs. 3,50,000 ($ 8177) in India and would have a range of around 300 km between refuels.

The cost of a refill would be about Rs. 85 ($ 2).

The MiniCAT which is a simple, light urban car, with a tubular chassis that is glued not welded and a body of fiberglass powered by compressed air. Microcontrollers are used in every device in the car, so one tiny radio transmitter sends instructions to the lights, indicators etc.

There are no keys - just an access card which can be read by the car from your pocket. According to the designers, it costs less than 50 rupees per 100Km (about a tenth that of a petrol car). Its mileage is about double that of the most advanced electric car (200 to 300 km or 10 hours of driving), a factor which makes a perfect choice in cities where the 80% of motorists drive at less than 60Km. The car has a top speed of 105 kmph. Refilling the car will, once the market develops, take place at adapted petrol stations to administer compressed air. In two or three minutes, and at a cost of approximately 100 rupees, the car will be ready to go another 200-300 kilometers.

As a viable alternative, the car carries a small compressor which can be connected to the mains (220V or 380V) and refill the tank in 3-4 hours. Due to the absence of combustion and, consequently, of residues, changing the oil (1 litre of vegetable oil) is necessary only every 50,000Km).

The temperature of the clean air expelled by the exhaust pipe is between 0-15 degrees below zero, which makes it suitable for use by the internal air conditioning system with no need for gases or loss of power.
Great idea Biju - only that the concerned authorirites also should think on these lines. Some releif to the power cuts could result if this is done -considering the innumerable number of lights that are on at these places in te evening hours.

Like you mention Air car This project will also raise the funds to Tata motors in indirect way. Will this improve the Peoples life in india .
as far my knowledge goes other than our country men the others have given plenty of money for charity. 3rd in the list warrent buffet if i am not wrong has given more than 80% of his fortune to sl no2. foundations.... how big heart they have.
any way the discussion is not about black money or charty.....

lets discuss on the renewable energy.......should we think on those line or should we rely on power generated by diesel.
Solar enery is a good thing this can save energy thats for true, but the initial cost of installation is bit expensive and anual maintainence for using this is expensive, comparing to Saving Desel,,

In the country like United states, for install this device Bank give Loans and promote people with good Subsidy , so they can recover the cost invested on this.

I am in china, there are many Manufacturing units, Making solar cell , and this are not used more in this country only exporting to American and european Market. Since this country is very cool in Nature , they use solar water heater in every appartment. Because Heating device consume more electricity, so they prefer this Way.

India there are some supplier of this but this product are expenisve to instally for Normal People,

Sir,
In port blair also the NRSE of the electicity dept gives all solar equipments at subsidised rates. the awarness is very poor.
solar lanterns can be procured at rs 1500/ and solar water heaters of 100 lit is avilable for 20000/.. the govt should encourage cultivation of jatropa ( Jamal gotta)as locally know,,, as intercropping for bio diesel...this is grown in waste land.
as you are in china every knows 15 years back china was the largest importer of apples and apple juice from america and today they have become the largest exporter in world....the decision makers should plan and implement it properly.

Sir,
u r right gamal gotta as known as " jatropa curcas "is used for fencing in our islands. whcih is a very good crop for intercropping. this plant grows plenty in brazil and mexico was once upon a time we use to import jatrops oil as the saponification value of the same is very high... there are few socities in maharastra which has taken this for active cultivitation of the waste land . the same can be tried in india.I am not a botony student.
you can pl contact any botony lecturerfor more info in this reg.

instead of the high mast sodium vapour lights can't the admin use solar lamps  or any other renbewable energy to set an example..................suppliers  are having a ball................the bengali club junction has around 10 lights other than the the high mast lights i do no know what is the techinical name 4 that.

Once upon  a time their was a biggest  solar power plant installed by admn. in havelock island at Radhanager.

They suppy whole village   solar power only  .But due to bad mentinance and unawareness , people not accept  in future .....but presently solar street lamp is popular .. so pbmc can  start....

great topic biju thanks
